Overview

Avon is located at the base of Beaver Creek and only 15 miles west of Vail. Once a tiny whistle stop on the Union Pacific Railroad, Avon now encompasses a variety of shops, restaurants, ski shops and locally owned businesses. With many stores and dining opportunities, the community has become a central part of the Vail Valley’s recreational activity.

Getting Around Town

The Avon Transportation Center is the hub for free transportation to Vail or west to Edwards and Eagle. Take the bus to Vail or to the base of Beaver Creek and take advantage of the free public transportation.
